The Charis Project
SWOT Team Meeting

 Wednesday, February 5, 2020
1:00 pm to 3:00 pm

The Barnabas Group is the only collaboration of leaders dedicated to maximizing ministry potential by meeting nonprofit challenges with business perspectives to advance Kingdom work .

Children belong in families.  In villages along the Thailand/ Myanmar border, children are being sold and surrendered into institutions by parents in order to feed their remaining children.  Since 2008, The Charis Project has been working to rescue families and provide the training, coaching, community infrastructure, and innovative investment that empowers families to establish financial independence and security for their future.
More than 10,000 families have been impacted by The Charis Project since 2008.  Their track record has established credibility with the Thai government and even Buddhist community leaders who are aware that the Project comes in Jesus' Name.  With a strong team on the ground in Asia and high demand, the opportunity exists to reach even more families with a Gospel-based solution that brings hope for a secure future.
With a successful model in place, the vision is to replicate it not only in more Thai and Burmese villages, but also in other parts of the world. Making the growth challenge even greater is that the ministry has no US staff despite the majority of their funding coming from the US.
So the BIG QUESTION that The Charis Project is asking Barnabas Group partners to provide input on at this SWOT is:
As a small ministry based in SE Asia, what should The Charis Project do to leverage its local success for global impact?
