SWTA Bargaining Update as of
Friday, June 03, 2022 @ 2:30 p.m.
Today your SWTA Bargaining Team met with the SBUSD bargaining team (Melissa Griffith, Tom Bevilacqua, Estela Corrales, Rigo Lara, and Jon Pearl). 

SWTA shared their proposals for Article 10 (Safety Conditions of Employment) and Article 21 (Specialists). SWTA also proposed a MOU for Universal Transitional Kinder and the Virtual Academy. The District countered Article 10, Article 21 and the MOU for Universal Transitional Kinder. The District also proposed a job description for a Teacher on Special Assignment for IPLS (Integrated Professional Learning System) and a job posting for IPLS Site Lead Teachers. Discussions and counter proposals of these articles and MOUs will continue at the next bargaining session scheduled on Monday, June 6th. 

The remaining articles Article 7 (Health and Welfare Benefits), Article 11 (Class Size), Article 18 (Wages), Article 19 (Impact Teachers), Article 23 (Preschool) and Article 24 (Special Education) will be proposed upon clarification of the state budget.
