SYA continues to be good stewards of our childrens' safety. We are currently re-evaluating current protocols issued by Federal, State and Local officials. While there is a relaxation going on, there is still a need for unvaccinated coaches/officials to wear masks.
Updates will be out soon on our website in the RETURN TO PLAY section.
Sign up now for Baseball (Babe Ruth and Little League), Sideline Cheer, Field Hockey, Tackle Football, Lacrosse, L, Little League Softball, Soccer, Cross Country, and Volleyball!
There is Still Time to Register for Summer Soccer Camps!
SYA Soccer summer camps are designed to develop players to maximize their abilities and foster their enjoyment of soccer. Life skills such as leadership, mental toughness, resilience, self-confidence, teamwork, sportsmanship, respect, self-control, and work ethic will be taught/modeled.
SYA depends on volunteers to administrate, coach, officiate and coordinate team activities. We are extremely grateful to the thousand plus of you who volunteer in any and all ways and extend a sincere, “Thank You.”
Additionally, every year our sport's Commissioners (volunteers themselves), select a few individuals who "go beyond" volunteering to keep everything running, and keep everyone healthy and safe.
Brian has been a fan of rugby since the early 1990s when he saw a random match televised on cable in high school. Having played football for 14 years at that point, he immediately knew he wanted to switch to rugby when he went to college. Attending Lock Haven University of PA, his team won the Division II National Championship in his first season, setting the stage for a lifelong passion for the game. He went on to play throughout college as well as in Europe and returned to coach his Alma Mater's college team, winning the Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union's Coach of the Year award in 1999.
