RITE ON TIME - music with roots in classical, rock, jazz, Armenian folk and more

SYBARITE5 is sure to be a remedy for the winter blues. And, if you missed their "roof raising" concert here in 2017, don't miss this concert!

About their RITE ON TIME program: In today’s turbulent modern world, we need to come together more. Diversity is a strength, and SYBARITE5 is known for bridging genre gaps to bring unexpected musical combinations together to create unique and dynamic concert experiences. SYBARITE5 brings this concept full circle and performs music with roots in classical, rock, jazz, Armenian folk, and more. Expect works from John Coltrane, Radiohead, Xavier Foley, Komitas, The Punch Brothers, Pedro Giraudo, Marc Mellits, Jessica Meyer, Kenji Bunch, Shawn Conley, Daniel Bernard Roumain, Astor Piazzolla, and Aleksandra Vrebalov, to name a few. Whether or not you recognize these composers, we know you'll enjoy the music!

SYBARITE5 is an intoxicating cocktail of post-genre musical goodness expressed through the virtuosity of violinists Sami Merdinian & Suliman Tekalli; violist Caeli Smith; cellist Laura Andrade; and double bassist Louis Levitt. It’s the first ensemble of its kind to win the prestigious Concert Artists Guild competition and the group is constantly evolving, defying categorization, and keeping audiences on their toes.

Dubbed “the millennial Kronos” (Theater Jones), SYBARITE5 is chamber music’s most dynamic ensemble taking listeners on a musical journey of staggering breadth and depth with new works by living composers, as well as the group’s favorites. Join us to hear “the range of their eclecticism… the depth of their repertoire.“

Community Outreach

We are committed to bringing chamber music to young people and diverse audiences. Each year we provide opportunities for students in our region to experience the magic of this art form through family concerts and through outreach activities in schools. We encourage you to bring your children to these concerts as often as possible, and we thank the sponsor of these programs for making them available free of admission. While in St. Cloud SYBARITE5 will also perform for students at South Junior High School and Riverview KidStop.
