Hello Participant

Congratulations! You have successfully been enrolled into SYEP!

Your next steps are to make sure you have your login information for NYC.ID and your SYEP Application ID number.

When you registered for the Participant Site, you should have signed up for NYC.ID either by creating an account or using a social login.

On the participant site, please get your SYEP Application ID number by clicking on the Information menu button at the top of the page.

If you have not already, please make sure you do so by going to https://participant.yepsonline.org/
At this time, we also want you to decide on how you want to be paid this summer. You have two options
  • Direct Deposit
  • Prepaid Debit Card

We recommend you sign up for Direct Deposit. Please see below for more information.
Don't have a bank account? Click the "Get Banked NYC" button to search for a business than you can open an account with. These banks are YOUTH FRIENDLY and have minimal restrictions to sign up.
We recommend signing up for direct deposit for the following reasons:
  • Direct Deposit goes straight into your bank account instead of a payroll card.
  • You can avoid issues with the payroll card such as not receiving the card in the mail in time for the first pay date.
  • Direct Deposit is usually paid at midnight on Friday's and payroll cards are usually funded around 12:00 PM.
  • If you receive the payroll card and lose it, it can take anywhere from 10-20 business days to receive a new card in the mail.

IMPORTANT: CHASE FIRST BANKING ACCOUNTS DO NOT HAVE DIRECT DEPOSIT. IF YOU HAVE CHASE FIRST BANKING, DIRECT DEPOSIT WILL NOT WORK AND CAUSE A DELAY OF FUNDS*

If you choose to do direct deposit, read the manual IN FULL. If you make a mistake, you will only have one more attempt to add bank information.
If you do not sign up for direct deposit, you will receive a payroll card. The card will be mailed to you before the program (in June) or in the first week of the program. Please be sure not to lose it because it takes around 2 weeks to get a replacement! It will be addressed to YOU! So please check your mail and ensure you receive it.
