Congratulations! You have been selected to participate in the 2025 Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) with the YM & YWHA of Washington Heights & Inwood.


IMPORTANT NOTICE:

It is important that you immediately respond to all emails and phone calls from staff regarding corrections to your documents. A green check mark simply indicates that your documents have been uploaded – it does not mean they’ve been approved. We must review your documents before we can proceed with your enrollment. Your documents must meet the city’s standards, as outlined below. Please act promptly!


***ENVELOPES ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR PROOF OF ADDRESS. MUST OPEN LETTER INSIDE ENVELOPE AND HEADER, PARTICIPANT NAME OR PARENT/GUARDIAN NAME, DATED FROM 2025, & CURRENT MAILING ADDRESS MUST BE VISIBLE.

Enrollment for SYEP is completely online using a secure site.

Please read ALL of the following instructions thoroughly!


What You Need to Get Started

To use the Participant Site, please have the following information:

  • Social Security #
  • Date of Birth
  • Zip Code
  • Access to the internet


Getting Started

Please use the steps provided below to complete your enrollment process.

  • Go to https://participant.yepsonline.org
  • Select “Login”
  • Authenticate your username through NYC.ID. Select one of the options on the right-hand part of the screen. If you need an NYC.ID, select “Create Account”.
  • Enter your Social Security Number, Zip Code, and Date of Birth. Then select “Register”.
  • Complete the forms in the “Forms” section
  • Complete and electronically sign the Participant Enrollment Survey
  • Complete and electronically sign the I-9 Form
  • Complete and electronically sign the W-4 Form (All Zeroes!)
  • Upload all documents in the “Documents” section

  1. Fill out completely
  2. Make sure to input your AND your parent/guardian's full name signatures and date (regardless of your age)

2025 W-4 Form

  1. Fill out ONLY Step 1 and Step 5
  2. Step 3 and Step 4 are all '$0' Zeroes!

I-9 Form

  1. Fill out Section 1
  2. Check off one of the boxes to confirm your citizenship status
  3. Sign your full name where it states "Signature of Employee" and the date

IT-2104

  1. You can ignore this form unless you need it for your taxes. This document is OPTIONAL!

Universal Data Consent Form

  1. Check off the proper consent box
  2. Make sure to input your AND your parent/guardian's full name signatures and date

NOTE: DO NOT UPLOAD AN ENVELOPE OR CLOSED LETTER! IT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED! Please OPEN all letters/bills. YOU MUST UPLOAD THE WHOLE PAGE DOCUMENT! MUST BE DATED FROM THIS YEAR 2025 & MUST BE ADDRESSED TO THE PARTICIPANT OR PARENT/GUARDIAN ON THE APPLICATION. MAKE SURE THE ADDRESS MATCHES THE MAILING ADDRESS ON YOUR APPLICATION.


  • Home Utility: Con-Ed Bill, Cable Bill, Internet Bill, Landline/Cell Phone, Gas Bill
  • Current Lease, Mortgage, Deed, Rent Bill/NYCHA Rent Stub
  • Official Mail from a Federal, State, or City Agency (NYC, NYS, SUNY, CUNY, or US Postal Office, etc...)
  • Stamped and Signed Official High School/College Transcript
  • Bank/Credit Card Statement
  • Health/Pet/Car Insurance Letter

Proof of Identity

Selective Service

(ONLY for males 18 to 24 years old)

  • Register at https://www.sss.gov/register/
  • Download Registration Letter
  • Sign and date the top and bottom of the letter
  • Upload signed registration letter

Working Papers

(ONLY for 16 and 17 year olds)
