Hello Compatriots!
This is my last article as President of your chapter. On January 18th, we will elect our new slate of officers. I am excited to see so many step up and take leadership rolls to ever improve our chapter. We are still getting back on our feet after almost 2 years of home restrictions during and after COVID which caused almost everyone to take a step back from activities. I am happy to report that the Sacramento Chapter is alive, well and gaining back our momentum.
There are many folks I would like to thank for their hard work and support namely: Craig Anderson, Don Littlefield, Scott Brooks, Jim Faulkinbury, Scott Brooks, and Mark Mozdy. David Beach, Wes Anderson, Larry Brasher, Roy Adkins just to name a few. These folks have made it possible for me to preside and for the Chapter to keep moving forward.
The board will meet online on the 11th to try and set the agenda for the upcoming year. It is important that if you have a suggestion or even an opinion about what works, what hasn’t and what you would like to see gets to me as soon as possible.
The past week has shown the worst side of Mother Nature. The relentless storms have left many of us with damage and no power for days. It is my hope that you are all “weathering out the storm” well and that your damage and inconvenience has been minimal.
Please join me on the 18th to thank those who have served the Chapter and welcome those who will serve next year, and once again, thank you for your support of the Chapter and me.

Cyber Scams
If you receive an email from a purported Compatriot in need of help that is unsigned, with no personal contact information seeking contributions to any type of fundraising site; or an email addressing you by name from another member of your Chapter requesting the expenditure of funds or the purchase of gift cards, consider it a hoax. These messages are getting more sophisticated and may even include the unauthorized use of the SAR logo and/or a pseudo SAR email address.
