Family Fact Sheet – Please read the Family Fact Sheet each week for the most important information on dates and times for up-and-coming events. Mrs. Edwards puts this together so we communicate with each of you weekly. If you have a question, by all means, ask your teacher or call the front office.
Happy New Year to all of you!

Tax Letters - will be available, upon request. Please email Mrs. Quinn at bquinn@shswr.org to request a letter.
Classroom Wish Lists - The teachers have compiled a list of educational enhancements that could be useful in their classrooms. All donations are tax deductible and greatly appreciated. Feel free to share the link with any willing
donors. Click here to view the Sacred Heart Classroom Wish Lists
Lunches - We encourage all families to send lunch in with your child at drop off. If you have to use a food delivery service please make sure the delivery time is at least 20 minutes prior to the student’s scheduled lunchtime. Please
also send water with the meal, soda and ice drinks are not allowed in school lunches. Meal delivery tends to be a distraction often arriving late causing students to miss lunch and instruction time.
Sign In - All visitors must sign-in in the notebook in the main office and get a badge. Badges should be returned on the way out of the building. Please note all in-person volunteers must be VIRTUS trained.
Help the School - Please make sure to link Sacred Heart Catholic School-Warner Robins to your Amazon SMILE, Kroger, Publix, and box tops rewards accounts. No amount is too small in assisting with educating our students.
Dennis Uniforms - As the seasons change and the cooler weather moves in please use the link below to order uniforms from Dennis. If you need contact information or are having an issue with Dennis uniforms please contact
Mrs. Edwards. Click here for the Dennis Uniforms Site.
Re-enrollment for next school year (2022-2023) is fast approaching. This year the process has been revamped, as a result of parent feedback. This year re-enrollment will be automatic, with an opt-out option, and electronic. We are
hoping to launch the new re-enrollment process in conjunction with Catholic Schools Week at the beginning of February. Please watch for more information in the coming weeks.
Congratulations to our Star Students for the month of December! Our teachers recognized these students for their behavior, effort, academics, and anything that demonstrated living out our mission statement.

GRACE Scholars is the only Student Scholarship Organization (SSO) that exclusively supports Catholic education. It allows taxpayers in Georgia to contribute to GRACE and receive a 100% tax credit on their state income taxes. This is a no-cost gift! Money that would have gone to the state can now support Catholic Schools in Georgia. A donor can designate funds to a specific GRACE participating school. The donation can directly benefit Sacred Heart Catholic School students! Register here.
The Department of Revenue pre-approved a Qualified Education Expense Credit Cap of $100 million. For pre-approvals processed to date, $82,448,433 of the $100 million cap has been committed. As such there is $17,551,567 remaining in the cap.
The goal of the GRACE Scholars program is to afford qualifying families a quality education while providing donors with an opportunity to use their tax dollars towards Catholic school scholarships. Click here to learn more.

VIRTUE IS NOT SOMETHING TO KNOW, BUT TO DO.
For January all students will learn about the virtue of
FIDELITY
THE SAINTS OF THE MONTH:
Saint Cecilia, Blesseds Luigi & Maria Beltrame Quattrocchi, Saint Gianna Molla
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Throughout the year, our students, Preschool through 8th grade, will work through a study of virtues to spiritually grow through understanding and action of our Christian virtues. Each month the same virtue is taught across all grade levels, but primary, elementary and middle school ages will learn about different saints regarding the virtue of the month.
For the 2021-2022 school term we have the Year of HOPE upon us. At SHCS we focus on the idea that "faith works" (Gal 5:6) and emphasize serving one another. A virtue is not something to know, but to DO.

The "Lunchbox"
Here we are, 2022! How time flies! Now, let’s talk about those resolutions we set each year. Whether your resolution is for your health or something else, it is a goal you wish to achieve, and achieve it you will. To do this, it’s helpful to create a plan using S.M.A.R.T goals. As you see in the picture, S.M.A.R.T stands for specific, measurable, actionable, realistic, and timely. You’ll see slight variations in the world about what the letters stand for, but they all mean to provide the same type of focus in setting your goal by breaking it down into something you can act on. If you just set a goal saying, “I want to be healthy”, that doesn’t give you a good idea about what this means or how to do it. We do want to be healthy, but health is many things, so think about what you can change to create real actions towards your health. It’s important to keep the goal small with a mindset that each small change will lead to larger
changes over time, this is the realistic part as well. Change does not happen overnight; it happens over time. With keeping time in mind, you also need almost a “deadline” for this goal to check back in and see what is going on with your change. For example, a health-related goal focused on diet would look like this “I will eat one new vegetable each week for 1 month.” At the end of the month, you can look back and reflect on whether you were able to accomplish this. If you did, great! Set a new goal. If not, that’s ok, you try again with either the same goal or with alterations based on what you learned during the process of trying to meet the goal. Stick with it and I have no doubt that by next year, you will see how far you have come. I wish you all health and happiness in the coming year! Now go set your goals!
