September Newsletter
From Vajra Acharya Yashoda,

Namaste,

Our theme this month we speak of "Creating change in uncertainty." Change allows us to move forward. We are reminded to be flexible, have no resistance and to be positive as we move beyond our comfort zone. We remember in uncertainty to be kind to ourselves and not dwell on the things we cannot control. Let us meet life where it is and move forward. Let us invest in gratitude and not believe everything we think; remember Ma’s advice: thoughts are brief and not lasting if we can say, “It is just a thought.” Breathe, stop looking for rescue, have no complaining and serve.

Jai Ma
Love, Yashoda

Full Moon Community Kirtan
Friday September 9
7pm at the Hanuman Temple
Let's kick off our season and auspicious weekend around the fire, with community and sacred sound. Join us for a joyful evening of devotional chanting and community. Based on ancient chants, kirtan has the ability to quiet the mind and cultivate devotion if listened to with intention. Chanting has many spiritual and scientific benefits, including increasing self esteem, promoting self expression, balancing energies, supporting the immune system and digestion as well as an overall feeling of wellbeing. When we chant together in community, we raise our vibrations to send out into the world.
Chants are simple and easy to pick up, and no experience is necessary.
Everyone is welcome!
Bring your yoga blankets, meditation cushions, & instruments.
We will end our session at 8:15pm with Arti.

Community Kirtan donations support our Sacred Kashi Puja sponsorship program.
We appreciate your generosity and will acknowledge all sponsorships at the start of the puja.
Celebrate Neem Karoli Baba's Mahasamadhi
Saturday, September 10, 2022
7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Baba’s Mahasamadhi, where duality no longer exists and we are
driven inward. Baba tells us, “When you remember me, I come to
you.” With just a glance He takes what we do not need; His
footsteps are the beat of our hearts.

Celebrate paramaguru Neem Karoli Baba’s Mahasamadhi at Sacred Kashi September 10 at 7pm in-person or on Facebook live.

Neem Karoli Baba left his body on September 11, 1973. Baba is a Hindu guru and a devotee of the deity Hanuman. His call to “feed everyone” in body, mind, and spirit continues to inspire members of Sacred Kashi.
Attend the fire puja in-person at Sacred Kashi or view the puja online through Facebook LIVE.

Listening Circle
Starts back September 23
Come to listen deeply within and with each other. The entire Sacred Kashi Community is invited to participate. Kailash Shankara will facilitate 4th Friday of each month online.

Our Listening Circle is a place to come together with Sangha, to sit in the Silence as we listen inwardly … nowhere else to be … nothing else to do … sharing with one another our feelings and thoughts, our dreams and stories. Come and join us as we sit around our digital campfire, practicing Presence … a time for relaxation and renewal … experiencing as Ma taught what our Baba taught, “G-d is in the sharing.”
