5th Week of October 2018
Weekly Update
It's not too late to join us for the Sacred Marriage Retreat this weekend. Our relationships with our spouse and with our God are often pushed to the back burner in the rush of life.

It may be time to invest in your relationship with your spouse and in your relationship with God. Gary Thomas shares poignant biblical insights into how our relationship with our spouse can deepen our relationship with God. If your marriage needs a refresher and your spiritual life needs a boost , don't miss this opportunity to do both. Childcare is available. Join us this Friday night, dinner will be provided.

This Sunday's message will focus on how our relationship with God impacts our work.

  • What does God intend for us in our work?
  • Are we "called" to a specific vocation?
  • Does God value different types of work more than others?
  • When we go to work on Monday do we cross a mystical line into the secular world and then on Sunday morning enter the sacred world again?
We will wrestle with these questions and more as we seek to understand God's design for the work He has given us to do.

See you Sunday! -Pastor Kris

FOOD PANTRY: There are hungry families in Lake Worth. In partnership with Restoration Bridge International, our church is opening a food pantry in the upper level of the church. Food is being delivered on Wednesdays, then organized and distributed to up to 25 qualified families on Saturday mornings from 10:30 am-12:30 pm. We need donations of plastic bags and nonperishable foods. We need people to organize food deliveries on Wednesday afternoons and volunteers to help on Saturday mornings. Sign up at the Info Desk!

BOOK CLUB: For November 11, we will be reading the “Within the Walls” trilogy by our own Stephanie Bennett. Our Christmas book exchange will be December 9. We meet at 7pm at members’ homes. Talk to Jean Bosman or Kim Vanderlaan for more details.

A NEW MEMBER’S CLASS will be held after the church service on November 11 & 18. Sign up by replying to this e-mail.
