Sacred Sundown Services for Yom Kippur at Birchwood Center

Kol Nidre ~ Friday, September 29th * 7-8:45pm
Ne'ilah & Break-Fast ~ Saturday, September 30th * 6-7:30pm
Please join  Judith Rose and Cantor Sheila Pearl   for two evenings of spiritual opportunity to chant, reflect, deepen, and rejoice as we enter the ancient mystery realm of Yom Kippur. Let us make this unique day a time to stretch toward the sacred, and meet in the healing light of forgiveness and compassion. Open to anyone whose heart is moved to pray.

Kol Nidre: The familiar and haunting melody of the Kol Nidre prayer frames the opening service of Yom Kippur in a context of history, inspiration, and awe.  We come together as a chanting, praying community to uncover the secrets of forgiveness. Register *

Ne'ilah: The stirring closing service of Yom Kippur prepares us for entrance into the heart of the sacred.  We meet the still point at that magical time when light begins to fade. We are guided by deep ritual, liturgical chant, and the shofar's cry which ushers us back into release, celebration, and community. Register *

$45 per service, $80 for both ~ Pre-registration is required  Register online *
