The first annual XWA Air Show will be held Saturday, September 11 from 7 a.m.-12 p.m. on the Overland Aviation tarmac. The air show will feature North Dakota-based performers Kent Pietsch Airshows, Warren Pietsch and Rad Aerosports. The show is free and open to the public. Limited seating will be available. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy the show!

Small Business Development Center - You could say Jawaid Surani was born to be an entrepreneur. The 44-year-old started his first business when he was just a teenager. There have been many since then. “I have been doing my own businesses since I was 15 or 16 years old. I have never worked for somebody else,” Surani said. “I have to try and see if I am able to do that, you know?” Surani’s curiosity has certainly contributed to his success as an entrepreneur. Commerce renews Renaissance Zone for Williston

News Release - The North Dakota Department of Commerce announced today that the Renaissance Zone Program for the city of Williston has been renewed for five additional years. The Renaissance Zone Program is a tool for community redevelopment and economic investment that incorporates tax incentives to business and residential properties. Read More

continue to Improve

Williston Economic Development - The Williston and Williams County Economy at a Glance for June is now available. The report is compiled by Williston Economic Development each month. June's report shows housing sales continue to be strong in 2021 with 51 homes sold in 2021 compared to 33 in 2020. Births are a little down from a year ago with 61 in June 2021 compared to 73 in June 2020.
3 Amigos, Abele Apparel present at 1 Million Cups

Williston Herald - The Williston Area Chamber of Commerce and Williston Economic Development office hosted the 1 Million Cups gathering at 3 Amigos on Aug. 4, featuring the owners of 3 Amigos and Abele Apparel. Held every month, the 1 Millions Cups event allows entrepreneurs to highlight their business or present business ideas to the local community and learn how those around them can support their business in it's growth. Huckleberry Children's Boutique opens in Sidney

Roundup - Huckleberry Children's Boutique held a ribbon cutting and grand opening on July 31 in Sidney. Sidney Airport to expand Terminal

KUMV-TV - Officials with the Sidney-Richland Airport say they are in the beginning stages of expanding their terminal, including giving more space for their TSA agents during the screening process and moving their baggage claim indoors. “Our lobby is not big enough to handle 20 people in there on a social distancing basis,” said Airport Authority Chairman Walt McNutt. EDND Fall Conference October 12-13 in West Fargo

News Release - West Fargo will host the Economic Development Association of North Dakota 2021 Fall Conference October 12-13. The conference will begin at the conclusion of the Main Street Summit. Registration will open at the end of August.
