Save the Dates for Safe Streets, Greenways & Trails Summits
Planning is underway for our local 2020 Safe Streets Summit which will be held April 2, as part of the Southeast Greenways & Trails Summit scheduled for April 1-4 in Jacksonville.  Sign up for future notifications as we finalize Summit details. We hope to see you there!
Thanks for Sharing!
Thanks to all who participated in our Regional Strategic Safety Plan Update survey. We had over 12,000 responses and comments. While we're still reviewing the results and feedback, we want to share the "biggest traffic safety problem" identified by the respondents.

The most frequently cited problem (76% of respondents) is distracted driving while looking at a phone or other handheld device. Technology makes our lives easier, but it can also make them more deadly. When you get in the car, remember - buckle up, phone down!

Stay tuned for the full results and report in the coming months.
  Celebrating Smart St. Augustine
JAXTAB and Smart North Florida gathered at the The Treasury on the Plaza in historic St. Augustine to celebrate the City's plans and progress as a major test bed for Smart North Florida technologies.

Reuben Franklin, City of St. Augustine Mobility Program Manager, reviewed the projects including a smart parking system, flood sensors, smart lighting, pedestrian sensors, smart and connected traffic signals, and dynamic message signs. Data collected will be part of the Smart North Florida Integrated Data Exchange.
