Safe Transport Starts Before You Hit the Road

Safe transportation of vehicles and agricultural equipment starts with proper planning and preparation. Loading, securement, equipment condition and road conditions all play an important role in getting equipment from one location to another safely.

MSA’s Kevin Milligan recently joined Robin Anderson of the Canadian Agricultural Safety Association (CASA), along with representatives from MSA member companies Mazergroup and Redhead Equipment, for a webinar focused on safe equipment transportation.

Watch the webinar recording for practical tips, considerations and industry perspectives that can help make equipment transportation safer.

Help Prevent Machinery Hazards

In 2026, contact with objects and equipment accounted for 45% of accepted workplace injury claims in Saskatchewan’s manufacturing industry.

Effective machine guarding helps prevent contact with mechanical hazards. The Guard Safety Scale helps measure guard opening sizes and distances from hazards, following CSA and ANSI guidelines to help ensure guards provide adequate protection.

WCB Saskatchewan is offering free Guard Safety Scales to help employers assess existing machine guards.

To request a free Guard Safety Scale, Contact WCB.
