2020 Board Elections
Saturday, December 12
SPFGA Board Elections are this Saturday!

Please join us on Saturday, December 12 from 2:00 to 3:30 pm to hear the candidates standing for election and decide which of them will bring the leadership and continuous improvements you’d like to see in the SPFGA.

All SPFGA members are invited to attend to meet your election candidates and ask them questions. No registration is needed to attend the election meeting itself, but registration is required to vote (see the next section). And if you don't have a computer, no worries - Teams works on smartphones & tablets too!

We recommend joining 5 minutes prior.
Pre-register to vote

Any SPFGA member in good standing, 16 years of age or older, is eligible to vote in elections.

Voting this year will be conducted remotely following the meeting and requires pre-registration.

Register yourself using the button below to receive a ballot. Ballots will be sent out by email after the conclusion of the December 12 election meeting.

Each member must have their own individual email address to vote in this election. You will register to vote with this address and your ballot will be emailed to you there. Please note: Only one ballot can be sent to each email address.

Don't have individual email addresses for everyone in your family? No worries – there are many options for setting up a free email available. Here are nine free places you can set up an email address for yourself.

Reminder: Membership Renewals are Open!
Renewals opened November 18
It’s that time of year again & membership renewals are now open!

It's to your advantage to complete your membership renewal by midnight on December 31.

Reminder: If you wish to change your membership type (e.g. from Regular to Family), please contact prior to renewing.

If you haven't renewed yet, click the button below to get to the details on how to get yourself started:
Facility Not Closing
We have reviewed the public health orders announced on December 8. Some changes to the details our re-opening plan may be needed and we are considering those, but facility closure does not appear to be required.

For now, please ensure you read, know, and follow the details of the facility reopening plan, where we remain at Phase 2.

The public health orders do not take effect until December 13. We will firmly announce any required changes in the Safe and Sound we will be sending out next week to communicate the results of the election.

Meanwhile, please ensure you comply with:
  • wearing a mask while on the facility at all times except when on the firing line
  • maintaining 6' distance between yourself and anyone you do not live with
  • regularly sanitizing your hands and disinfecting common-touch surfaces

We cannot stress strongly enough the need for you to comply with these elements. Solid compliance with the provincial health orders is the primary reason we can remain open. Failure to comply will result in disciplinary action at minimum, and could ultimately lead to the need to close the facility again.
Why am I getting this email?
Receiving safety and membership-related system emails is one of the membership obligations stated in the Membership Terms and Conditions you accepted when registering or renewing your membership.

Safe and Sound emails are those system messages.

Given the nature of Safe and Sound emails we do not expect there will be many throughout the year, but they are critically important.
