Directions for Completing
Safe from Harm Training
The Safe from Harm is now live. It is to be completed by all US Contingent Adults (Leaders, IST, CMT, Others). For the US Contingent the process has three steps:
1. Retrieve your World Jamboree ID Number
2. Understand how to figure your password
3. Click the link below and complete your Safe from Harm training.
1. WORLD JAMBOREE ID NUMBER
You will need your World Jamboree ID Number. To find that log into your US Registration and look for “WSJ ID” under the heading “Data Requested By Host.” See the second line after the heading on the far left. (For some the ID Number may be in a different location) Write the number down so that you can supply it in the proper place.
If you need directions to get into the USA Registration System via https://events.scouting.org/login click the “Directions to Retrieve your WSJ ID Number“ link below.
2. YOUR PASSWORD
Your password is your Date of Birth followed by US in this format
YYYYMMDD so July 4, 1984, would be 19840704US
You may be able to change this password at a later time, but we are not sure about that yet.
3. SAFE FROM HARM TRAINING
The first step to completing your Safe from Harm Training is to click on this link
https://learn.2023wsjkorea.org/learn/main.php
Click on English and then enter your WSJ ID and Password
NOTES:
1. You do not have to complete the training in one sitting. You can finish one or more modules and then finish or do more modules at another time.
2. There is no video or sound in the training. The course is in a format that requires it to be ready.
3. Some of the modules are read only. Others require a response. For the first time you are to respond you are to put the number of the given example of abuse at the top into the name of a type of abuse at the bottom.
4. Read the directions for each part of the course carefully as they are presented on the slides. Sometimes the English is confusing, but not so much so that the directions can not be understood.
5. After you submit an answer you will receive feedback. If you answer incorrectly, you can answer again.
6. There is a final test at the end.
7. You can reply to this email if you have questions or need assistance.
