Reminder: 'No guest' periods in effect from March 13–16 and 20–22
As St. Patrick's Day approaches, we encourage you to celebrate responsibly and respectfully. Your actions matter in keeping your Residence community safe and comfortable for everyone.
Guests are not permitted in Residence from March 13–16 and March 20–22. Hosting any guests violates your Residence Contract and will result in follow-up from the Residence Conduct Office. A guest is any non-resident of your building, including students living in other residences.
We’d also like to remind you that causing building damage or tampering with the fire and life safety system (including equipment, ceiling tiles, exit signs, or pulling fire alarms) is a violation of your Residence Contract that could result in eviction from residence.

Have Fun. Be Safe.
St. Patrick's Day is a time of celebration and community spirit. To ensure that you can celebrate safely and responsibly, the City of Kingston and Queen's University have implemented the University District Safety Initiative.
The City will enact the University District Safety Initiative (UDSI) from 12 am on Friday, March 13, 2026, until Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at 6 am. This means violations of city bylaws and alcohol-related offences can result in fines of up to $2,000, mandatory court summons, and/or non-academic sanctions under the Queen’s Code of Conduct.
Our priority is your safety and the well-being of everyone in our community. Let's work together to make this St. Patrick's Day a fun and safe experience for all.
