Workplace injuries happen to hands more than any other body part (except for the back). More than one million workers experience a serious hand injury in the workplace every year. Cuts, lacerations, and punctures—which often happen on the hands—are one of the top three types of injuries that keep people away from work.
If you need a pair of gloves, make sure to let your supervisor know, but remember that you are responsible for maintaining your PPE. If you need a new pair of gloves, you will need to turn in your old pair. Please don't throw them away because the accountability of your PPE is required for resupplying.
