Do you live far from Pittsford?
If you live over an hour and a half from Pittsford and would prefer to stay over Friday night vs. driving up in the morning, please let your supervisor know so room arrangements can be made.

We are hiring for 2022!
Kim Lewis from HR, along with Pat Maher and John Casella II, attended the Fair Haven High School Career Fair on Wednesday.
The event was a success and our RC equipment was a huge hit with the students!

Safety Topic: Fall Prevention
The industries with the highest number of fatal injuries include Construction and Transportation. Fall protection equipment should be inspected before use, including areas with ladders and stairs.
All it takes is a fracture in the side of a ladder to weaken the integrity enough to send you to the ground in a hurry. Harnesses should be adjusted to fit the person who is wearing them. Housekeeping is also important to prevent anyone from tripping over materials or equipment.
If you are unsure how to properly inspect any equipment or if fall protection is necessary, bring it up with your supervisor or the Safety Department. Anyone who is required to use fall protection must be properly task trained to ensure they understand what they are doing.
Thank you for doing your part to stay safe!
Can you answer the question from this week's safety discussion?
OSHA requires fall protection to be at elevations of:
4 feet for general industry (Transportation & Maintenance)
6 Feet for Construction
Any time a fall could result in injury in a mine site
All of the above
A and B only
