Pursuant to Emergency Order 23-20, certain businesses in Miami-Dade County are allowed to open Monday, May 18, 2020. Upon reopening authorized North Miami businesses, several safety requirements must be honored.
All businesses must:
Post CDC signage in public locations emphasizing measures to "Stop the Spread" of COVID-19 and to exercise social responsibility
Install hand sanitizer at entry points and throughout the property
Reduce seating in breakrooms and common areas to ensure a minimum physical distance of 6 feet between people
Post a contact email address, telephone number or both for employees and customers to raise questions or concerns
Enhance sanitation of all common areas and frequent touch points
Place trash containers for facial coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) near exits, entrances and other common areas
Comprehensively clean establishments each night
If possible, establish a single point of entrance
Businesses are to use reasonable efforts to ensure that on-site customers, employees, contractors, and vendors maintain appropriate social distancing. Reasonable efforts may include: marking floors at appropriate intervals, advising individuals it is unlawful to enter the business without a mask when required; and/or making periodic announcements to follow social distancing.
The following tips were provided by the Miami-Dade County Association of Chiefs of Police.
Miami-Dade County's
