Year-End and Payroll Tax Table Updates
Due to substantial changes to the tax code that materially impact the 2020 and future payroll tax years, the IRS released a new Form W-4. Sage 100 v2017 and earlier versions will not support the additional fields necessary to correctly calculate federal withholding taxes. If you are unable to upgrade to Payroll 2.x before needing to use the new Form W-4, you will need to manually calculate Federal Withholding for every payroll for employees who need to use the new Form W-4.
If you are using Payroll in Sage 100 2018, 2019, 2020, or 2021, make sure to install Payroll 2.23.0 to process your tax year 2022 tax forms and to enter payroll for the 2023 tax year. Make sure to install Payroll Tax Updates as they are offered. This only needs to be done from one machine each time an update is offered. Make sure that you’re using the correct State Unemployment Tax Rate before you process your first payroll dated in 2023.
To stay compliant with Payroll and AP 1099 form printing, you will need to upgrade to Sage 100 2020.5 or higher. The annual IRD should be available around 12/15/2022.
Aatrix year-end update is expected to be released mid-December. Note, at this time of year, it is quite likely that you will encounter multiple updates. Make sure to install each time an update is offered. These updates need to be applied on EACH computer from which Payroll or 1099 Tax Forms are processed.
If you are using Payroll in Sage 100 2017 or earlier, you will need to work with your Sage business partner to upgrade to Sage 100 2018 or higher (with Payroll 2.23.0) to remain compliant.
