SAGINAW CONTROL & ENGINEERING will break ground next spring on a 142,000 sq. ft. facility in the Great Lakes Tech Park - a Michigan Certified Business Park. The project includes office, production and warehouse space, and state-of-the-art equipment. Since 1963, Saginaw Control & Engineering (SCE) has been manufacturing both standard and custom electrical enclosures. The company headquarters and its 310,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility will remain in Saginaw Charter Township. That site is completely built out and landlocked, which required the Tech Park location. SCE expects to create 35 jobs over the next five years and is sizing infrastructure to support potential expansions. The Michigan Economic Development Corporation, Economic Development Corporation of the County of Saginaw, Thomas Township and SFI supported the project’s development with site preparation, free land and a tax incentive.
