Sahaya Walks is an annual educational & fundraising family event that provides an opportunity for  people of all ages  -young and old-  to make a difference in the lives of 35 HIV-infected children and youth in our programs in India, by providing health-care, education, shelter and food.

There will be delicious Indian food (offered by Preethi Indian Cuisine), a cultural program with music and dance, short presentations, fun activities (including face-painting, crafts, fun games), and a 10-minute walk. We will share our hopes for an AIDS-free future.

Come celebrate that YES, we can make a difference!

As Sahaya International was founded in 1999, we will use this Sahaya Walks event also to celebrate our 20th anniversary!

Children and youth who benefit directly from Sahaya Walks

All proceeds go to Sahaya's programs that provide health and a future to 35 HIV-infected children and youth in  India. Thanks to our previous events, we have not lost a single child because of HIV/AIDS in 13 years. Several of the first kids who enrolled in our program nearly 15 years ago are currently in college and recently 5 of them have completed their college degree. Two of them are currently staff at our partner organization READ to assist with the orphan support programs and have start a special HIV+ youth club to organize extra skill-building activities. One of the HIV+ children who joined our program 15 years ago grew up, completed college, got married and recently give birth to a healthy baby boy! This is all a reason to celebrate.
