Ash Wednesday, February 17, 2021
-
Masses: 8:15am and 7:00pm
- Ash Distribution Services: Noon and 4:00pm
- **4:00pm Service will include distribution to cars driving up in the circle-drive off of the portico on the south side of the church
- Ashes will be sprinkled on the top of your head.
- Those distributing ashes will be wearing masks and face shields.

During Lent, Eucharistic Adoration is every Tuesday evening,
6:00pm - 7:00pm.
- Adoration will be live streamed.
- Masks are required in building.

- Worship aids will be provided for personal use. We ask that you take one home and bring it back each week.

Lenten Mission:
Monday, March 1, 2021 at 7:00pm with Fr. Britto Berchmans
§ Fr. Britto will speak in the church on the theme “On the Road to Jerusalem – Carrying the Cross After Jesus”.
The program will include music by Fr. Joe.
It will be live streamed through our Facebook page.
§ Fr. Britto will preside at the weekend Masses on Saturday, February 21, 5:00pm; Sunday, February 28, 8:15am and 11:00am.
§ Volunteer Greeters, Ushers and Sanitizers are needed for
the mission on March 1, 2021

Spa for the Spirit: Saturday, March 6, 10:00am – noon, with Lucy Abbott Tucker
Lucy will speak in the church on the theme “Has God Changed, or Is It Me?”
o Lucy will speak about the four ways God is portrayed both in Scripture and in our lives: God as miracle worker, God as friend and companion, God as mystery, and God who is.
o This event will be live streamed.

· Attendance is free to all women of the parish. Unfortunately we are not able to offer the traditional continental breakfast this year.

Lent in a Life Group: The Archdiocese of Chicago Young Adult Engagement Team invites all ages 18-39 to experience Lent in a Life Group—a faith–based small group that is centered in Christ and in community. Lenten Life Groups will meet via Zoom and dive into sacred scripture throughout Lent and reflect/pray on the Sunday Gospels. The groups will run weekly for 6 weeks beginning the week of February 21 and ending the week of March 28 (Holy Week). No preparation or faith experience needed, just show up. Questions? Archdiocesan Immigration Ministry Lenten Campaign: 40 Days of Prayer, Fasting and Action for Immigration Reform: All are welcome to join in the 2021 Lenten Campaign. The campaign provides the opportunity to share one’s faith through prayer, fasting and acts of mercy to raise awareness of the need for immigration reform. Participants sign up to commit to their choice of prayer, fasting and acts of mercy for one or several days. Scripture-based Lenten retreat: Loyola University-Chicago's Institute of Pastoral Studies Scripture School is offering a very special Lenten retreat, "Take Up Your Cross, And Follow Me!" This five-week online retreat series will be offered in both English and Spanish February 16 – March 18. In this retreat, guests will "encounter both the challenge and call of the Cross."
