Lockdown Drill Information

On Wednesday afternoon, Saint Ann School conducted a lockdown drill as part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment for our students. Ohio law requires all public and private schools to hold at least three school safety drills each year, with at least one involving securing students in classrooms.

We want to reassure families that this was only a drill. Our students and staff responded calmly and followed all procedures as they should. Once the all clear was given, classes resumed as normal. We are very proud of how well our students handled the situation.

At Saint Ann, the safety, well-being, and growth of our students remain our highest priorities. We appreciate your continued partnership in helping us create a supportive environment where every child can learn and thrive. Thank you for your trust, understanding, and encouragement as we work together for the good of our school community.

Warm regards,

Beth Yakawiak

Principal, Saint Ann School

PE Teacher Update

We would also like to share a staffing update. Due to medical reasons, Mr. John Pymn has chosen to resign from his position as Saint Ann’s Physical Education Teacher. We are grateful for his service to our school community and wish him the very best.

As we search for a permanent replacement, we are pleased to welcome Mr. Dan Martinelli, who will be teaching Physical Education classes in the interim. We are confident that Mr. Martinelli will provide a positive and engaging experience for our students.
