Diocese of Trenton 2024-2025 Grant Program
After School Extra-Curricular Activities
| |
The 2024-2025 Diocese of Trenton Grant Program has been a success! Beginning in October 2024, several teachers offered their time and talents to moderate various after-school programs for St. Dominic School students.
With a generous grant provided by the Diocese of Trenton, these programs have been provided at no cost to the parents! Students have been enjoying the following programs:
- Art Masters Club- moderated by Mrs. Kokoll for students in grades 3 & 4 (students learn about a famous artist and create a work of art inspired by an art master)
- Book Club- moderated by Mrs. Fondonella for students in grades 5 & 6 (students read various book selections and discuss each week)
- Chess Club- moderated by Ms. Schifano and Mrs. Wojciak (students in grades 5 & 6 learn how to play Chess)
We look to implement programs in the winter months, as well. Please be on the lookout for more information about these programs. We thank the Office of Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Trenton for providing these opportunities for our students!

Parent Teacher Conferences
Parent Teacher Conferences will be Virtual on December 6, 2024.
Parents were able to schedule their December parent-teacher conference, beginning Monday, November 8, 2024, by clicking the link below.
Good communication between parents and teachers creates a positive atmosphere for children to learn. All of the conferences are scheduled at ten-minute intervals so that every parent has the opportunity for a short meeting with the teacher. If you have a serious concern, you may need to schedule a longer appointment at another time. We ask parents to realize that the teachers need to consider everyone's appointment and try to adhere to the schedule.

Report Cards will be made available online between 1:00 P.M and 3:00 P.M. on Friday, December 6 for grades K through 8.

In October, our Specials teachers launched an exciting new program called WINGO. It is based on the
long-time favorite game of BINGO, except that luck is not a factor. Our Blue Jays in grades K- 8 must
work together as a team to earn their WINGO stickers for the class WINGO board. Each week, the five Specials teachers- Art, Gym, Library, Music, and Tech- choose one class for their Class of the Week. In addition to the sticker, the Class of the Week is recognized with a sign that hangs outside of their classroom door. Congratulations to 5A for being the first homeroom to reach WINGO! Their WINGO board will be certified by Mrs. Tiernan and she will announce their reward. They will receive a new board and continue to play along with all of our Blue Jays who are working to achieve Class of the Week status.

A review of the weekly contributions has been completed, and it has been brought to our attention that many families are in arrears. According to the school contract, families must contribute a minimum of $10.00 per week in order to qualify for the "Active Registered Catholic" tuition rate from January 1, 2024 to November 30, 2024.
We are aware that this year has continued to present challenges to many of our families and are thankful for all of their continued support to our Parish. If you are behind in your contributions or have any questions regarding tuition, please contact Mrs. Christine Gallahue in the rectory office at 732- 840-1410. Thank you!
Saint Dominic Parish offers the ability of setting up recurring or one-time basis Church donations using your credit card or automatic withdrawal from your bank account (ACH). The process is completely handled by you, the donator.
By accessing the secure Website, you create a log-on and set up or modify your payment schedule or even to make a one-time donation. Once you set up your account, you can make changes whenever you want; no phone calls are necessary to the parish office to change or even cancel your arrangement. Eliminate writing checks each week!
