School hours, arrival and dismissal procedures, the Parent-Student Handbook including uniform guidelines, can all be found in our Back-to-School Start-Up Guide.

All Back-to-School Forms were due on Friday, August 25, 2023. If you did not complete your student's forms, please do so ASAP. All links can be found on the Back-to-School Guide linked below.

Father Ssenfuma

Fr. Bryan Parrish, our Pastor, has named Fr. Michael Ssenfuma the Chaplain of Saint Joseph School. Fr. Bryan continues to serve as our ecclesiastical leader and Pastor of both SJS and Saint Joseph Parish. With this new role, Fr. Ssenfuma hopes to spend ample time in the school building collaborating with faculty and connecting with students. We are excited to have his enthusiasm and faithful presence as a new addition to our school this year.

Carlo Serrano

In partnership with Saint Joseph Parish, Carlo Serrano, Parish Music Director, will be expanding his role to include leadership and guidance of the SJS Choir. In his role as Choir Director, Carlo will plan weekly rehearsals and performances at regular liturgies. We want to thank Dan Farretta for his year of service last year, as he graciously filled in as Choir Director when a void in leadership was identified. He will continue to serve as our 4th - 8th Grade Music Teacher and will lead various clubs and activities after school.

A special welcome is extended to the new members of our esteemed faculty, who bring fresh perspectives and energy to our school. Should you need to reach any member of the SJS Needham team, contact info can be found in the online directory. As a reminder, Saint Joseph School has moved to a new email service effective 6/16/2023. All Saint Joe’s employees can be contacted at our new @sjs-needham.org domain. All emails follow the same format: first initial, last name, @sjs-needham.org. Please make sure to add these new email addresses to your Safe Sender List.

Back-to-School Parish & School Picnic

The Parish and School Picnic is on Sunday, September 10, from 10:30am-2:00pm in the School Parking Lot. It promises to be a fun, community event for all ages. Please join us at the 9:30am Family Mass at St. Joseph Parish that day, and join us afterwards at the Picnic - feel free to bring any friends or family members!

Students who attend this Mass in SJS uniform will receive a Dress Down Tag Day on Monday, September 11th!

The Fun Run Is Back!

Planning is underway for the 2023 Fun Run. Last year the Fun Run raised over $60,000 for our school. We are excited to offer Fun Run t-shirts to our students, faculty, and staff again this year at no cost to families and staff.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for families and businesses on our Fun Run t-shirts. This is a wonderful opportunity to have your business logo or family name on the most popular t-shirt around. Deadline for T-Shirt Sponsorship has been extended to Tuesday, September 5, 2023!

Volunteer VIRTUS Training

All SJS volunteers must follow the guidelines of the School including a 1-time completion of the VIRTUS workshop available through the Archdiocese of Boston. Volunteers can choose any location/time, but online registration is mandatory. SJS is offering a VIRTUS Training on Monday, September 11th from 6:00-9:00pm in the Lower School Cafeteria (the HUB).
