Jesse Tree Project

This coming week, our students in Kindergarten through Grade 3 are crafting ornaments for the Saint Joseph Parish Jesse Tree. These festive creations will adorn the tree at St. Joseph Church, waiting for you to take and fulfill the wishes of those in need. The Jesse Tree will be displayed at St. Joseph Church from December 2nd to December 10th, with convenient weekend pickups in the SJS parking lot those same weekends.

If your family wishes to participate in the Jesse Tree collection, more information can be found in the weekly church bulletin, and ornaments can be picked off the tree in the upper church. Explore the Christmas Story of Ruth, linked for your family to enjoy, and join our students as they learn about this beautiful tradition while creating ornaments for the Jesse Tree. It's not just an ornament; it's a symbol of love and giving in the true spirit of Christmas.

PSA Gingerbread Decorating Party

Join the Saint Joe's PSA for the SJS Annual Gingerbread House Decorating Party next Sunday, December 3, 2023. All grades welcome! Secure your spot by Wednesday, November 29th. Limited to 75 houses per seating. This is not a drop-off event, adult supervision required. Please enter the event via the Middle School Dining Hall Patio door. Create sweet memories with us!

Santa's Workshop Volunteers

BC Child Study

We've teamed up with Boston College's Cooperation Lab, led by Dr. Katie McAuliffe, for a 10–15 minute study delving into how social cognition and behavior, especially cooperation, develop in children. Your child, aged 6 to 12, can take part with your permission. The study, beginning the week after Thanksgiving, explores how considering different perspectives shapes sharing behavior. To learn more and express interest, please read the letter below and complete the electronic consent form.
