Veteran's Day

In honor of Veteran's Day, and in celebration of the men and women who have served in the U.S. armed forces, we are again creating a Hallway of Heroes this week. We aim to fill the walls leading from our main office with this tribute to our American Heroes!

Students are encouraged to print and fill-out the linked Veteran's Day template. Submissions are due this Wednesday, November 8.

PSA Meeting

Please join us for our next Parent School Association (PSA) meeting this Wednesday, November 8 at 8:15am in the Upper School Dining Hall. You may enter via the patio door adjacent to the parking lot and play structure. All are welcome!

Saints Society Players: Grade 5 Musical

Our Saints Society Players are now in their 23rd theater season here at Saint Joe's! We are happy to announce the 5th Grade Musical - Disney's "Mary Poppins, Jr." With many wonderful songs like ”A Spoonful of Sugar" and “Super-cali-fragil-istic-expi-ali-docious”, this will surely be a fun show! Tickets are now on sale for our Thursday, November 16th and Friday, November 17th performances. Doors open at 6:50 pm and show starts at 7:15 pm. Tickets are $10.

Birthday Book Donation Program: October

As a reminder, families can donate a book to the library as part of a student's birthday celebration! Books may be also given at holidays, in honor of a teacher, relative, friend, or in memoriam.

Candy Collection

A chance to spread kindness and give back - we will be collecting candy donations for veterans and local food pantries from through this Wednesday, 11/8. If you have an organization that is looking for candy donations, please let us know.

Thanksgiving Cereal Drive

This year we are pleased to partner again with the Needham Food Pantry for our Thanksgiving Cereal Drive. The members of the Needham Council have informed us that their greatest demand is for cereal. We often remind our students that it is our privilege to be able to help others who go without, and this is certainly the case during the holidays. We are asking that each student contribute 1-2 boxes of cereal. The Food Pantry suggested any brand that is welcomed by your own families. Please send in cereal by Tuesday, November 14. Thank you for your support!

2024 SJS Gala & Auction Planning Committee

Get involved and make a difference at Saint Joe's! Join the 2024 SJS Gala & Auction Planning Committee and help us create a spectacular event. There will be a brief meeting right after Wednesday's PSA meeting, with the first official meeting scheduled for Wednesday, December 6th at 7:00pm in the HUB. If you can't attend in person, you can join us via Zoom. The gala and auction will take place on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at the beautiful Brae Burn Country Club in Newton. Join us for an exclusive private shopping event at Proud Mary in Needham Center on Thursday, November 30th from 6:30-8:30pm! Shop for the perfect hostess, holiday, and even teacher gifts while enjoying delectable nibbles and sips. 10% of all sales will be generously donated back to Saint Joe's.
