All Saints Day

Please join us this Wednesday, November 1st at 9:00am in the St. Joseph Upper Church for an All School Parish Mass for All Saints Day, a Holy Day of Obligation.

2nd Grade Saints Parade

In celebration of All Saints Day, the second grade class would like to invite their families and the community to our annual Saints Parade this Wednesday, November 1st at 1:30pm in the St. Joseph Upper Church.

All School Rosary

The SJS Faith Committee will be hosting our first event of the school year on Friday, November 3rd at 1:30pm. This will be a Rosary prayer service led by our Middle School students. Parents, family members, and friends are all invited to attend. We know the power of prayer is so much stronger when we pray together! Students in grades 1-8 will be participating. This event will be held in the St. Joseph Upper Church, we hope you can join us.

School Photos

Last week, a message was sent to all families with information about accessing your child's school photos. If you did not see this email, please check your spam folder or search your inbox for a message from "Cara at C. Jane Go Photo". The ordering period will close TOMORROW, Monday, October 30, 2023 at midnight. All prints will be delivered directly to SJS approximately 2-weeks after the ordering period closes. Candy Collection

A chance to spread kindness and give back - we will be collecting candy donations for veterans and local food pantries from Wednesday, 11/1 through Wednesday, 11/8. If you have an organization that is looking for candy donations, please let us know.

Early Childhood Drop-Off Reminder

We kindly remind all parents and guardians that parking and dropping off children in front of the ECB is strictly prohibited. Please refrain from pulling over to let your child out of the car in this area. The space in front of ECB is designated for MBTA buses and school buses to pull up and facilitate safe drop-offs. Additionally, we would like to emphasize that there is no parking permitted in the lot behind the ECB between the hours of 7:30am and 3:00pm.

Your cooperation in following these guidelines is greatly appreciated to ensure the safety and efficiency of our school's transportation procedures. Thank you for your understanding and support.

Thanksgiving Cereal Drive

This year we are pleased to partner again with the Needham Food Pantry for our Thanksgiving Cereal Drive. The members of the Needham Council have informed us that their greatest demand is for cereal. We often remind our students that it is our privilege to be able to help others who go without, and this is certainly the case during the holidays. We are asking that each student contribute 1-2 boxes of cereal. The Food Pantry suggested any brand that is welcomed by your own families. Please note the date for the cereal to be brought in is Tuesday, November 14. Thank you for your support!

Save the Date: The Saint Joseph School Gala & Auction

The event will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2023 at Brae Burn Country Club, Newton. Please consider joining the Auction Committee this year. A brief meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 8th immediately following the PSA meeting. If you are interested in joining the committee please email Mary Beth Cox at mcox@sjs-needham.org.

Most meetings will be held in the evening. We need help with live and silent auction items, class baskets, invitations, decorating/theme, and any new ideas or suggestions you may have. All are welcome!
