October 6, 2024 Edition

Join Us for the 2024 Blue Ribbon Family Celebration!

Celebrate our Blue Ribbon Award in style at our “Under the Blue Ribbon Big Top” family event on Friday, October 18, 2024, from 5-7pm in the school parking lot! This circus-themed evening is packed with fun for all ages, with blue cotton candy, popcorn, Richie’s Slush, music, and special entertainment, including a DJ, face painting, balloon artistry, a 6pm magic show, and a meet-and-greet with Bluey from 5-6pm!

Dress in Blue to help us honor this achievement in true Saint Joe’s style! We’d love volunteer support from our parent community. If you can assist with activities, food, or setup/cleanup, please email Tori Banu at tbanu@sjs-needham.org.

We look forward to celebrating with you under the Big Top!

Library News

Lunch Bunch: Our Grade 4 Lunch Bunch book club will meet in the Library on Tuesday, October 8, during lunch. We’ll be discussing Fish in a Tree by Lynne Mullaly Hunt, a story about a girl overcoming dyslexia with the support of a compassionate teacher. Students have already checked out the book from our library, and we look forward to a great discussion next week!

Birthday Book Celebrations: Thank you to our September Birthday Book Donation Program participants: Julian Hart, Luke Jennison, Kaitlyn Lovett, Sebastian Medina, Matthew Muller, Reagan Young, Owen Young

Families can celebrate a student's birthday by donating a book to the library! The student selects a new book from the “Birthday Book Cart,” a bookplate with their name is placed inside, and they get to check it out first before it's added to the library collection. Donations can also be made during holidays or in honor of a teacher, relative, friend, or in memoriam.
