Session I of our After School Clubs begins on Monday, September 25, 2023. The cost for each club session is $100 per student. Register today! Limited space available.

Student Council (STUCO)
Becoming a Student Council Representative (Grades 2-8) is an important and serious obligation. The elected student serves as a direct representative for their entire class and, occasionally, the entire school, in relationship with the school administration. If your student is interested in running for STUCO, please note this year's election schedule:

Grades 1-5 Lunch & Recess Volunteers
We are excited to offer a Google Sheet that will be editable by all as a new method to sign-up for Lunch & Recess Volunteering. If you would like to sign up, click the link below and add your name to the days you would like. Please then add your name/email address to the last tab to be included on the e-mail distribution list. The tabs along the bottom give you access to all of the months - sign up for future dates such as birthdays! Save the Date: Volunteer VIRTUS Training
All SJS volunteers must follow the guidelines of the School including a 1-time completion of the VIRTUS workshop available through the Archdiocese of Boston. Volunteers can choose any location/time, but online registration is mandatory. SJS is offering a VIRTUS Training Wednesday, October 18th from 6:00-9:00pm in the Lower School Cafeteria (the HUB).

MAP Testing
MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) Testing (K-gr. 8) will continue over the next few weeks. Teachers will let you know when your student is scheduled to test. Please make sure your student gets a good night’s sleep and eats a hearty breakfast to prepare.

Youth Lectors Wanted
Open to students in grades 6-12, we cover the 9:30am and 5:00pm Sunday masses. Schedules are put together three times a year and for the Fall schedule we are particularly interested in coverage for the 5:00pm Sunday masses. Contact Jill Meyers at ericandjillmeyers@yahoo.com for more information.

Performing Arts - Instrument Lessons and Concert Band
Paul Effman music will be offering music lessons again this school year! Lessons will be held on Thursday's after school. Linked below is the website for more info and a registration form. Students can sign up either on the website, or you can complete the form and return to the main office.

Speech & Debate
Rose Institute specializes in connecting speakers with their audiences. Since 2011, they have proudly provided our students with a platform to practice speech and debate. Complete with tailored lessons, exercises, games, speeches, in class presentations, and inter-school competitions, our programs are an absolute blast! Students in grades 4-8 are eligible to participate. For more info and to sign-up, follow the link below.

Street Hockey Tournament (a PSA Sponsored event)
Mark your calendars, grab your sticks, and join your fellow classmates for a fun-filled Friday night, September 29, 2023! Kindergarten - Grade 8 students are invited to play a street hockey tournament in the school parking lot. There will be competition brackets based on age. Students of all levels are welcome and encouraged to participate. Balanced teams will be created within each age bracket. Make it a night out for the family as you cheer the kids on and connect with other Saint Joe's families!

Save the Date: School Pictures
School Pictures are scheduled for Tuesday 9/26 (PS. PK, K, 1), Wednesday 9/27 (Gr. 2, 3, 4), and Thursday 9/28 (Gr. 5, 6, 7, 8). Students may dress in their school uniform or an outfit of their choice.
New this year! Class composite pictures will be taken, in uniform, on Thursday Oct 5th. Stay tuned for more information on picture package options.
