Fast Cash Calendars ($10 each) raise money for Saint Joseph School. A lucky winner is drawn each day in May with 31 chances to win a cash prize. Please share the link to purchase with family and friends.

Book Fair 2023

Library Request for Donations of Used Books

Please consider donating used children’s books for our “Gently Used Book Table” at the upcoming book fair. You may drop books off at school and leave them in the rear of the gym near the Pickering Street entrance. Please drop your donations this week (May 1-5). Thank you for supporting our library!

Grandparents & Grandfriends Day: Friday, May 5th

Visit classrooms (8:00-8:45am), attend the all school Mass (9:00-10:00am), and enjoy a cuppa coffee with us in the Linse Room (10:00-10:30am)! As a reminder, the school parking lot is closed during the school day. Carline drop-off can be utilized for both students and grandparents. An elevator is available via the May Street entrance.

Art Show: Wednesday, May 17th

Please join us for the 2023 SJS Student Art Show on Wednesday, May 17th from 6:00-8:00pm in the Elementary School Gymnasium. All students and family are welcome.

Progress Reports

This Thursday, Progress Reports are available on your parent portal (grade books for students in grades 6-8 are always open and available). Progress reports and midterm grades are intended to reflect a student’s midterm performance.

MAP Testing

MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) Testing begins tomorrow, Monday 5/1, and will continue over the next two and a half weeks. Teachers will let you know when your student is scheduled to test.  Please make sure your student gets a good night’s sleep and eats a hearty breakfast to prepare.

4th Annual Southern Massachusetts Catholic School Honor Band Concert

Congrats to the following SJS students who were selected to participate in the 2023 Catholic School Honor Band Concert, held yesterday, Saturday 4/29: Wesley Gibbons, Mary Ellen Kasinger, Jacob Liza, Stephanie Reale, Henry Shaw, Qaeden Suero.

Pack-a-thon to Benefit CRUDEM

Thank you to the grade 5-8 students who helped to pack 150,000 meals (dried beans, rice, vegetables and vitamins, sealed and packed in boxes) to send to the CRUDEM Foundation and their Sacre Coeur Hospital in Milot, Haiti, a 200-bed facility that together we have been supporting for more than 12 years!

One Mission's Buzz Off - Team Saint Joseph School

The One Mission Buzz Off will take place on Sunday, June 18th at Gillette Stadium. This is the 7th year a team from Saint Joe’s will be participating in the Buzz Off, and the team has raised over $125k to support children with cancer. Follow the link below for more info.

Pan Mass Kids Ride

Please join us for the annual Pan Mass Kids Ride on Sunday May 21st!  This is a wonderful family event where kids ride their bikes and raise money to fight cancer. The ride will take place in the Wells Ave industrial park from 8:30am-11am, for kids age 2-15 and includes a post ride party.

Needham Resident Bus Registration

NOW OPEN: Yellow School Bus Registration for the 2023-2024 School Year

All Needham resident students in Kindergarten through Grade 12 may register to ride the school bus, including students of Saint Joseph School. Registration is first-come-first-serve and is open through May 19th.
