January 22, 2023 Edition

Dear God,

Thank you for the opportunity you have given us to go to this wonderful school. As the cold winter months grow closer, please help the people in need who don't have shelter. Thank you for helping me grow in and out of school. Thank you for hearing our prayers, in Jesus' name we pray.

Amen

Leadership Series: Grade 5

Saint Joseph School is excited to bring back the Leadership Series to our Grade 5 students!

The series is scheduled to run 1-2 Wednesdays of each month at 9am in the school library. Throughout the school year, participants from our community will share their professional background and experiences on leadership traits such as trust, empathy, service, teamwork, public speaking, communication, social citizenship, and character

Our first speaker will be Andy Winig from Needham Rotary Club on January 25th; he will be talking about service.

Our goal is to provide the Grade 5 students with real world examples of roles that incorporate leadership traits, and to understand how those characteristics culminate into actions that impact our society. Parents of our fifth-graders are welcome to attend.

Service Thanks

A message from the St. Joseph Parish Justice and Peace Committee:

"We want to thank all the school families who donated clothing to the St. Francis House and the parents who came today [Thursday] to sort the clothes. We especially want to thank the 40 students who stayed late on an early dismissal day to participate in this project. Their parents and the school should be very proud of them.

As a parish committee, we hope to have more opportunities to collaborate with the school. Thank you for your support and enthusiasm for this project."
