Library News

Birthday Book Donation Program

Thank you to our September Birthday Book Donation Program participants: Luke Jennison, Julian Hart, and Casey Denitizio!  

As a reminder, families can donate a book to the library as part of a student's birthday celebration!  When families make a donation in celebration of their student's birthday, the student is able to pick a new book from the “Birthday Book Cart”, a bookplate with the student's name is placed in the front of the book, and the student can checkout the book, first, before it is circulated in our library as a new title.  Books may be also given at holidays, in honor of a teacher, relative, friend, or in memoriam.

Library Lunch Bunch

The Library is hosting a Grade 5 Lunch Bunch on Tuesday, November 22, during lunch. We will be reading the book “The Perfect Score” by Rob Buyea. The story will be introduced during Grade 5 Library classes and students may borrow the book and join us for the discussion.

Communication Update

Text Alert System

There will be a test of our emergency alert system on Tuesday, October 25 at 7pm.  Parents/Guardians will receive the text alert on their mobile phones.

Fall Health Reminder

Cold and Flu season is around the corner! Please remember:

• If your child has a fever, please keep them at home until they are fever free for 24 hours
• Remind your child to wash their hands frequently and cover when they cough
• If your child is going to be absent, inform us via the attendance email, [email protected], when reporting an absence please provide any information regarding official diagnosis/symptoms. We work hard to track illnesses across the school and respond accordingly, when necessary.
