Name Tags for Sunday
If you have a Saint Mark name tag, please wear it on Feb 16th, when our new interim pastor will join us for the first time.  We want to make him feel welcome & comfortable by making sure we all wear name tags.  If you don't have one, there will be disposable, sticker name tags available on Sunday. And, if you are a member & don't have one, one will be created for you.  Contact Jen Ferguson with questions.

2019 Year End Deficit Shrinks Further
The ($7,800) 2019 year end deficit has  shrunk further due to $6,200 in 2019 pledge  payments which we've now received.

This good news means the actual year  end deficit for 2019 is now ($1,600) rather  than the ($46,262) deficit Session had budgeted  for 2019.

A round of applause for our members who  paid their pledges in full !  God provides thru  our members commitment and generosity in  gratitude for all God has done for us.

Lectionary Bible Study continues
Join a small group Bible study led by members on Sundays at 9:30. This group gathers to pray and read scripture and studies the passages the pastor will be preaching on. There is good conversation and fellowship, all are invited! Room 105/106 in the Education Building.

Wall O Generosity youth mission fundraiser
Come and visit our Wall O Generosity!
The money from this fundraiser will benefit the youth mission fund that helps offset the cost of our summer trips to West Virginia, Baltimore and the Montreat Youth Conference.
The wall is located in the atrium of the Education Building and is covered with envelopes numbered 1-150. Choose an amount that you would like to give, take the envelope down from the wall and follow the instructions inside. The wall will be up for four Sundays in a row, and our hope is that by the end of the month all the envelopes will be gone! You can also mail in a contribution.

Womens Retreat: Practice Sabbath, Feb. 21-23
From Genesis to Revelation, our scriptures mention Sabbath over 170 times. Join the women  of Saint Mark as we explore the ways Sabbath influences our faith, impacts our personal well-being, and makes space for us to be who God created us to be. We will have prayer, study and most of all, time for fellowship and rest. To register and for questions, email Pastor Shelby:

Per Capita 2020
As you know, 'per capita' is Latin for 'per person'.  Did you know our church pays a per capita or per member, contribution to the presbytery each year to share the expenses of the presbytery, synod, and General Assembly for ecclesiastical purposes?  This year our apportioned share is over $12,000 or $42.64  per member.  You can help by contributing $42.64 per member.  There is an envelope included in your packet and in the atrium for this purpose. Checks can be made to Saint Mark with 'per capita' noted on the memo line. Online contributions should be noted 'per capita' as well. Remember that is $42.64per member, not per family, but does not include children who are not members. Thanks to all who have already contributed. Questions can be directed to Tom Prelovsky. The finance ministry thanks you! Click here for the Q's & A's about Per Capita.
