Pride Weekend
FRIDAY, JUNE 26
Gather with fellow Episcopalians to celebrate Trans Pride. All are welcome to bring a blanket or a chair and meet at the Volunteer Park Amphitheater for a time of celebrating Trans life and community. More information and the link to register is here.
SATURDAY, JUNE 27
Saint Mark’s will host a booth at the Capitol Hill PrideFest to share information about Queer in Christ and other inclusive ministries. Email queerinchrist@saintmarks.org to sign up to volunteer.
The cathedral nave will be open to all for Quiet Pride from 1 to 4 p.m. for anyone who wants to sit, cool off, hydrate, and rest in a calm and quiet space during PrideFest. We’ll also offer refreshments, rainbow crafting, contemplative practices, a quiet space for sensory-sensitive folks, kid-friendly activities, and a station to honor queer ancestors. This event is co-hosted by QuiC and the Intergenerational Council. Sign up to support this event here.
SUNDAY, JUNE 28
The Diocese of Olympia will host a booth at the Seattle Center PrideFest. If walking in the parade is not your style, help greet folks and be a loving faith-filled presence at the booth. Volunteers are requested for set-up, staffing, and tear-down. More information and a link to register to volunteer is here.
The Diocese is also inviting Episcopalians from the Diocese to march in the Seattle Pride Parade. Trinity Seattle invites parade participants to join them for worship at 10:30 a.m. All Episcopal parade participants are invited to park in the Trinity garage and gather at Trinity pre-parade (where there are ample bathrooms, water, and shade) before heading to parade staging! More information and a link to register is here.
