Pride Month is Here!

A big thank you to all the volunteers who came out last Saturday to paint our steps!

Get Your Pride T-Shirt! Our 2026 Pride T-shirts are here! For just $20, you can get yours. Every Sunday during June, you can pick one up near the Community Room. You can also reserve one by emailing lgbtq@ourcathedral.org with your name and shirt size (small to 3X).

Pride Concert! On Friday, June 26th, at 7:30pm, our friends of the Minnesota Philharmonic Orchestra will give a free Pride concert in the Saint Mark’s nave. The nation’s first LGBTQIA+ orchestra, MPO is notable for centering the music of living composers and composers of underrepresented and marginalized populations. More information is available here.

Join J-Pride and PJ Library for Pride Tot Shabbat! Gather Saturday, June 27th at 9am with other young families and get decked out for Pride with free rainbow flags, stickers, and sunglasses while you enjoy bubbles, snacks, and a Shabbat-friendly craft. At 9:20am, enjoy Pride Shabbat music by the fabulous Shana Banana, followed by story time and Shabbat blessings with challah and juice. Learn more and RSVP here.

Join J-Pride for Pride Shabbat! On Saturday, June 27th at 10am Co-Leaders Rabbi Aaron Weininger and Rabbi Heather Renetzky and Song Leader Rachel Lipkin will lead us in a joyful, meaningful celebration of Shabbat in honor of Pride Month. All LGBTQ+ Jews and allies are welcome to come together. Learn more here.

Outdoor Hospitality! During Pride Weekend, June 27th and 28th, thousands of people from the Twin Cities will be passing by our steps. It’s a great opportunity to provide a welcome, assist with questions, share information about the cathedral, or to simply be present as a listener. Our Outdoor Hospitality team would love your help, and you can choose the date and time that works best for you. Please sign up for a time slot here.

Pride March and Pride Service! On Sunday, June 28th, we’ll march with Episcopalians from across the diocese in the annual Twin Cities Pride parade. The Parade is planned to begin at 11am. Our assigned number in the parade sequence is 151, which is part of Block 9. Block 9 parade participants are to meet on S. 3rd Street between Portland Avenue and 5th Avenue, one block north of The Commons. Block 9 is the last block of groups in the parade, so it will be a long time after the start of the parade before we move. A point person for our group will be in place holding our number 151 by 10:30am. You can arrive anytime between 9am and Noon. Rev Clara will be celebrating the pre-Pride Eucharist at noon. You may bring water and snacks.

Later that afternoon, at 4pm, we’ll gather in the cathedral sanctuary for our annual Pride Service. This year’s Pride offering will benefit Transforming Families. Please join us for these events as we close out Pride 2026.

Saint Mark's Library

For the past 2 years Sandy Longfellow and I (Jen Long) have been updating the library and continue to do so. A couple of things we've done is create a space for LBGTQ+ books and a space for books about Indigenous Peoples.

We are currently working on a space for books written by members and other people affiliated with Saint Mark's. If you have a published book or books you’d like to donate for others to check out and enjoy for 4 weeks we’d be delighted to receive it. Please talk to or email Jen Long or Sandy Longfellow. We look forward to hearing from you.
