SAAGES Welcome Our New Dean

Wednesday, July 15 at 10:30am

SAAGES (Spiritually Active Adults, Growing, Exploring, Serving) will host our new Dean, the Very Reverend Aidan Owen, for coffee and conversation in the Community Room (note room change). This will be an opportunity to personally meet the Dean and learn more about him. It will also be a chance for him to get to know something about you. Coffee and tea will be available. Sweet and savory treats to share are always welcome.

SAAGES is a group at St. Mark’s that welcomes everyone who is of retirement age (however you wish to define that).

Blessing of Little Free Pantry and Family Picnic

Sunday, July 19, 12pm (after the 10:30 service)

In March, families gathered after church to paint our new Little Free Pantry, which the men's group has installed next to the Little Free Library by the courtyard.

Please join us for a prayer of dedication, as we ask God to bless the giving and receiving that will happen at the Little Free Pantry. After that, we will have a potluck picnic on the lawn and fellowship together. Bring a dish to share and/or a picnic meal that your kids will eat! Hope to see you there.

Innovator Retreat: All Are Welcome!

Saturday, July 25 | 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. | The Blessing House, Victoria, MN

Participants will be engaging in a series of simple spiritual practices (they can take back to their faith communities!) as we try to help them develop an imagination for what God's Holy Spirit is up to in their lives and in the lives of their neighbors. We will ask them to think about "Why Jesus?" and help them become more comfortable talking about their faith with spiritually curious people who aren't connected with any sort of faith community. We will also share stories of some lay Chrisitans who listened to their neighbors in a posture of love and curiosity, and the simple but transformative ministries that emerged. Learn more here!

The retreat is free but is limited to 30 people. Retreatants are asked to stay for the entire retreat to get the most out of it. Questions? Want to join teams of your fellow Episcopalians from across the diocese? Please rsvp to The Rev. Blair Pogue or Saint Mark's lay minister Linda Brandt.
