Praise for the life of John Hebing, husband of Amy Vrins who died on December 1st. We extend sympathy to Amy for her loss. Amy also wants to express gratitude to Saint Matthew’s TLC team for meal support during John’s final days on hospice.

Thanks to all of you who attended the virtual Congregation Meeting and who submitted ballots. We reached the quorum requirement of 151 eligible voters. There were 218 eligible ballots received.

The 2021 Budget passed with 211 approval votes and 4 disapproval votes.

In November, Council spent much time reviewing and approving financial information. Replacement of the chairs, ceiling tile and floor in the preschool classroom was approved. Other highlights can be found here.

Monument Crisis Center so appreciates our assistance to families in need, especially during this holiday season. Since May, we have been able to deliver at least 20 bags of groceries each week.

This past week, 25 bags of groceries were delivered to Monument . Thank you for your steadfast generosity!

We will continue to collect food donations Monday through Friday from 10am-7pm.

The current needed items are:

Canned vegetables or fruit, pasta, soup, macaroni and cheese, rice, beans, oatmeal, and baby food are all always welcome. PLEASE- no glass.

Have an old iPad laying around your house? We are looking for some iPads that are looking for a purpose. We have people in our community that do not have access to a computer to watch our Sunday service and we want to enable them to do that. There are just three steps that you need to take:

As you consider your tithes and offerings for the end of the year, please note that Saint Matthew has a brokerage account with Vanguard Brokerage Services. Donations can be made by DTC transfer from your broker to Saint Matthew’s account at Vanguard Brokerage Services. For information relating to the transfer, please call Kathy Frattini at the church office, (925) 932-1955 x112, and specify the donation being made to Saint Matthew. For transfers of securities between brokerage accounts, please allow several days for delivery of the securities to Vanguard Brokerage Services.

Contributions of physical stock certificates must be received by Dec. 31st.

Separation and divorce are tough. If you’re in the midst of separation and/or divorce, you may not have someone to speak with who understands what you’re going through. Walnut Creek Pres has invited us to share that they are offering a DivorceCare program that can help. The groups meet weekly online on Monday nights from 6:30-8pm starting January 11, 2021 to help you face the various challenges associated with healing and rebuilding your life.
