Called for God's Purposes
Sunday Sermon

Pastor Tim will lead us into the first Sunday of Lent through an encounter with the story of Jesus' temptation in the wilderness as told in Luke 4:1-13. It is the Spirit that drives Jesus into the wilderness. Could it be that God felt this experience was necessary to clarify Jesus' calling? Challenging experiences do that for us. They clarify what God is calling us to do and to be as followers of Jesus.

Luke 4:1-13
Worship: 9:00 & 10:30 am
Spring Forward This Weekend!

Reminder to set any manual alarms forward Saturday evening so you don't arrive to Saint Matthew an hour late. Most mobile phones adjust automatically to the change in time, but check to make sure.

Easter Ensemble
Ryan and the Worship Ministry team invite you and your family to join our Easter Ensemble! We are looking for enthusiastic faces and voices to help lead singing from the Choir Loft on Easter. Singing ability would be a plus, but most importantly, we're looking for people who are available for five rehearsals, have a heart to bless our community, and possess a passion for God. You and your family can sign up this weekend at the Welcome Center and/or by emailing Ryan Taylor expressing interest.

Rehearsals are Sundays from 3:00 to 5:00 pm starting March 24th leading up to Easter, plus a dress rehearsal. We will be singing at both the 9:00 am and 10:30 am Easter services.
Wings As Eagles
Help Build a Cafeteria

Last Sunday you had a chance to hear Lori and Gary McAfee from Wings As Eagles share about their ministry on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. Because of Saint Matthew's abundant generosity, they were able to provide lunch meals throughout the summer and even continue a meal program in the fall. This was the first time they were able to offer something like this! Their next big project is creating a place for kids and seniors to get a warm meal year round and they are gathering funds to create a cafeteria to make this possible.

The total cost of this project is a little over $200,000. They are not asking us to fund the entire cost, but to help launch their fundraising for the project as we partner with other local churches to turn this dream into a reality. If you are feeling called to help in any way towards this project there are two ways to give.
1. Any donations made to Saint Matthew with "Wings As Eagles Cafeteria" in the memo will be given directly to this fund.
2. You can also visit the Wings As Eagles website below and give directly to them with a designation towards cafeteria.

We are also creating two trips this year that will travel to the Pine Ridge Ind ian Reservation. Our trip in June is focused on working with their summer programs geared towards children and teens. In September or October, if there is enough interest, we will take a team of adults that will help with building and other hands-on tasks. If you are interested in being a part of either trip, please email Mike Basil or Amanda Diehl
