"Finishing Well"
Sunday Sermon

A pebble dropped into a pond creates rippling circles that move outward in rhythm, seemingly without end. On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit dropped a pebble into the pond of the religious landscape in Jerusalem creating a movement that rippled outwardly, seemingly without end, all the way to Rome. Although Luke's story ends in Rome with Paul awaiting his execution, The Movement will never end. In Rome, however, Paul has completed his race; he has fought the good fight and kept the faith. His faithful journey is now over. Paul's final days in a Roman prison inspire the church in every age to finish well the race set before us.

Ladies, please save the date for the summer Garden Party including salad, sangria, and socializing at the Raymond's beautiful home.

Please sign up at the Welcome Center or here. Lynne Smith will be sending out information the week prior to the event. Since parking is limited, please take a look at the Welcome Center sign up sheet and plan to carpool with others.
Your Input Is Needed!

At the last Interim Process Forum, Pastor Tim distributed a document with three different questions about ministry at Saint Matthew. We recognize that not everyone is able to attend   Sunday  morning forums, and we would love to get feedback from as many of our partners in mission and friends as possible.

To this end, we have made the survey available here. It will only take a few minutes, and your voice can be heard in this important season of discernment about the future that God has in store for our congregation.

Help Our Littlest Ones
Nursery Volunteers Needed

We are still looking for one or two adults who are willing to serve as "on-call" sitters in the nursery. We are asking that each person commits to being "on-call" one   Sunday  a month (or less if we have lots of volunteers). You will need to arrive at church at   8:45 am on your assigned   Sunday, then check-in to the nursery. If the scheduled sitter is in the nursery, you can head to worship. If the scheduled sitter isn't there, you are now the "on-call" sitter. If are willing and able to help with our little people, please contact Angie Kavert. Thank you to those individuals that have already stepped up to help!
Reminders

The final Moving Deeper: Potluck and Bible Study will be this Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in the Teen Center. All are welcome to attend! Please email Tami Gomez if you are planning on attending and you haven't signed up previously.

Come and enjoy the summer market this Sunday in the Fellowship Hall. In the past five weeks, we have raised $5,414 towards feeding the poor! Please contact Toshiko Barrett if you would like to help with this worthwhile ministry.
