LEGACY SOCIETY EXTENDS OUR FUTURE EFFECTIVENESS
From Mary Wiggins
As a longtime member of St. Michael’s, it’s personally important to me that the future of our parish promises continued ministry to my grandchildren, their peers and beyond. For over fifty years we’ve turned to our church for spiritual guidance in an ever changing world, finding opportunities for education, service and friendship. Its constancy and stability have been a source of comfort as you’ve celebrated, grieved and worshiped with us in untold numbers of ways.
Many years ago we saw the need to include St. Michael’s in our will, pleased with the opportunity to help guarantee a future for our beloved parish. It’s a simple procedure that has provided comfort in the knowledge that others can benefit in the years to come.
If you’ve been following recent explanations of the mechanics of joining offered by several Legacy Society members, you know that the varied options are simple and efficient. For further information contact David Hanzlick , chairman, or other committee members.

Women's Retreat
October 25-26, 2019
Tall Oaks Conference Center
Linwood, KS
$75/person  - includes room and board as well as breakfast and lunch on Saturday
All double rooms

Description: T his year’s retreat is entitled Loving Each Other Well . We will be focusing on the concept that we are the church and that we have many talents, gifts, and knowledge to share. We can use these gifts to love others well and to love ourselves well. When we do these two things we are able to be Christ’s hands and feet in this world. Friday night will be a time of fellowship and getting to know one another. We will also briefly introduce the sub-themes we plan to explore during Saturday. After a good night's sleep, we will be employing both small and large group formats, using our Baptismal Covenant as a touchstone, to explore the aforementioned sub-themes examining how we can and do love ourselves and each other. We also plan to connect with nature and worship together before we head home Saturday afternoon, hopefully refreshed and full of ideas and promise.

Payment info: Payment may be made online via credit card or by a check dropped off to the church office. Please make sure the memo line read "WWL Retreat" and that your name is clearly visible. Deadline for registration is September 25th.
