Dear Parents and Families,

As many of you know, our St. Michael School community has many members who are active or retired military. This Veterans Day I wanted to express our prayerful thanks and gratitude to all our veterans for their service to our country. We pray that St. Joan of Arc prays for all our veterans and their families.

Below are some quick notes for the upcoming week:
  • Wednesday, 11/21: 11:30 Dismissal (Thanksgiving)
  • Monday, 11/26: No School
  • Wednesday, 11/28: Speech and Language Screening
  • Thursday, 11/29: High School Placement Test
  • Friday, 11/30: First Trimester Ends

  • Wednesday, 11/21: Turkey Trot

Congratulations to our 4th-8th grade student representatives who were sworn in at Mass on Friday. As I said, these student representatives will work with our 8th grade Council Members to further the Spirituality, Mission, and Scholarship of St. Michael School.

Congratulations to Mr. Kottcamp and his advisory for successfully running the canned food drive to support ACCA. The cans were picked up and delivered on Friday. As part of the Mission of our school, St. Michaels students always looks to serve our community and love our neighbor.

Thank you to all our parents for coming to our Parent Teacher Conferences this year. Parents are the primary educator in a child's life, and the partnership between parent and school couldn't be more important for a child's success. If you were unable to meet with your child's teacher, please reach out through email to schedule a convenient time in the next two weeks.

There will be a CPR/First Aid/AED class offered to St. Michael's parents and parishioners on Saturday, November 17th from 9:15 AM - 2 PM. This is a certification class through the American Red Cross. The cost is $65.00/person. Please RSVP to  to reserve a space since class size is limited.

On Wednesday, November 28th we will have a Speech and Language Screening Specialist available. The cost is $15.00, and checks must be turned in by Wednesday, November 21st. Please contact Ms. McAuliffe with any questions. The form is available by clicking this text.

The First Trimester ends on November 30th. Be sure to check the Parent Portal to keep informed on grades and missing work. Teachers are willing to work with students and parents to get credit for assignments, when possible.

Has your child's teacher gone above and beyond? If so, please email and let us know! Our teachers do so much for our students but often our principal doesn't hear the specific details. Please email in your story, however brief, so we can ensure we recognize the amazing work our teachers do!

God bless,

Daniel Cinalli
