Dear Parents and Families,
Last week we introduced a new handout to students in 4th-7th grade and a new resource the school purchased. IXL.com is a website that allows students to work on Math and Language Arts skills by selecting very specific categories and standards. Our teachers went through the Scantron Standards and coordinated which IXL skill helps practice that area. The sheets given to each student were run using the Scantron report system to help guide students to which areas they should target first. Students have their own password and username, so tracking which skills are completed is done automatically. These sheets were reviewed and explained to the students in detail. They will have opportunities in class to work on IXL.com, and may be assigned homework in certain areas as well.
Below are some quick notes for the upcoming week:
- Saturday, 4/13: Diocesan Science Fair
- Thursday, 4/18: Third Trimester Interims
- Thursday, 4/18: Holy Thursday, 11:30 Dismissal
- Friday, 4/19 - Sunday, 4/28: No School, Easter Break
Parents, when dropping students off late, they must be brought to the
main office in the Senior Building. This is for all students, PreK - 8th grade.
Thank you to all who attended our Book Fair family night and helped volunteer throughout the week. A huge thank you and congratulations goes to Mrs. Wenger for another successful and fun Book Fair for our school. Our students were able to celebrate literature while also expanding their own personal libraries!
When making a request to the front office for paperwork, information, etc. please allow a 24-hour turn-around time.
