Dear Parents and Families,

The weather seems to be turning from summer to Fall, and while we were blessed to have Hurricane Florence miss us (although we pray for those that were affected) we now have had some teachers come down with illnesses with the new temperatures and rain. Many of our former substitutes have moved away, and at times this year we have found ourselves scrambling to find substitutes. If any parent knows of someone that is available and interested in joining our staff as a substitute, or if you are available and interested, please email Mr. Cinalli at daniel.cinalli@stmikes22003.org.

Below are some quick notes for the upcoming week:
  • Monday 9/10-9/28: Scantron Testing
  • Friday, 9/21: 11:30 Dismissal (Professional Development)
  • Sunday, 9/30: 2:00 - 5:00 Parish Picnic
  • Monday, 10/8: No School, Columbus Day

PTO EVENTS:
  • Tuesday, 9/18, 2:30: Auction Committee Meeting (All Purpose Room)
  • Wednesday, 9/26, 2:30: PTO Meeting (All Purpose Room)
  • Friday, 10/26, 6:00: 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat

SCANTRON Testing will continue to take place over the next two weeks. The tests take place first thing in the morning, so please make sure your child arrives on time on testing days.

Claire's Gourmet forms have been sent home for the annual fundraiser. Please return the forms to the front office if you will be participating.

We will continue with our Kindness Initiative and "Blessed Are the Peacemakers" theme with a school-wide assembly this Wednesday morning. Students will take the Peacemaker Pledge, and see skis performed by their classmates.

The SignUpGenius for Parent Volunteer Lunch Hours is up and running. You can reach it through our school website, or by clicking this text.

Has your child's teacher gone above and beyond? If so, please email info@stmikes22003.org and let us know! Our teachers do so much for our students but often our principal doesn't hear the specific details. Please email in your story, however brief, so we can ensure we recognize the amazing work our teachers do!

God bless,

Daniel Cinalli
Principal
