Unity and diversity can exist together. Our western minds have a grave difficulty seeing unity without conformity. We tend to believe that unless everyone believes the same thing, assents to the same body of truths, styles, and opinions, unity is not possible. Jesus, in today’s Gospel, expresses a tenderness and an intimacy that the disciples actually can witness. This same tenderness and love are also reflected in his desire for unity and oneness. Jesus passionately wants all to be one.

“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.” These words describe exactly who the glorified Christ really is. Jesus wants us to see this glory! Believe this! This is the unifying principle that draws the Body of Christ together as one, not our particular preferences of worship!

If we can work at truly loving each other as members of Christ’s Body despite the differences that can so quickly divide us, then maybe we’ll a bit more convincing to those who do not believe. The Risen Christ comes to us through the Eucharist. It doesn’t matter where or how. Gather wherever you can and receive. We cannot substitute Jesus’ passion with our own. We are one.

God Bless,

Father Don

We are getting close to reaching our goal! Continuing thanks to all who made a gift or pledge as our progress points north! You may place your gifts in the collection basket, drop off or mail to the parish office or pay directly to the Diocese of Harrisburg. Thank you!

WE SHARE - Our online giving program (the donation button on our webpage) has been company upgraded. As a result, things look differently. If you “explore” you will see a drop-down box listing all of the current giving opportunities and other options. We are working directly with the developers to have them increase “visibility of donation” opportunities. There will also be a “check box” for donors to accept the processing costs of the donations. We appreciate your continued support of our parish and school.

Shrine Church - Shrine Church UPDATE: We have received and are reviewing quotes for the replacement of the Shrine Church furnace. Once a decision is made, there will be time before the new unit arrives and installation begins. As mentioned before, the flooring issue in the narthex will also be addressed. Until these two items are definitively scheduled for repair and replacement, mass will continue to be held at the Shrine.

Sound System Upgrade: The sound system upgrade for the Shrine Church is very close completion.

Thank you for your contributions and patience – both are invaluable to our continued success and movement forward!

School News

On Tuesday, May 31, we will celebrate the graduation of this year's 8th grade class.

This time of year is always exciting and bittersweet. Some of these students are the first in their families to graduate from Saint Patrick School. Some are the only ones who have graduated from our school. And some will be the last, at least for quite some time.

The Class of 2022 has weathered the challenges we all faced in the past few years. They missed out on some things, but also found ways to create new traditions and celebrate new adventures.

Some of these students have been with us since preschool and some joined us just for this year. Together they are the core of our student leadership and set the tone for our school. It's a heavy responsibility to bear and we want to congratulate them on doing their best in some difficult times.

We appreciate each and every one of these students for what they have brought to our school community and for what they will bring to their future endeavors.

Congratulations to the SPS Class of 2022 and may God bless you always.

Saint Patrick School's Annual Fund in full swing. A donation to this year's Annual Fund will help us continue and expand our mission of offering students the opportunity to thrive in academics, leadership, spirituality and service.

The Annual Fund generates income for the school's operating budget. Your gift to the Annual Fund is a show of support for our entire school-- our principal, teachers, staff, students and families. We appreciate your generosity and encourage you to make a donation today by using the link below.

We are also gearing up for the 4th annual Finnegan's Fun Run, which benefits school technology. That event is May 25 and school students are busy getting sponsors for their run. For every $100 a student gets in sponsorship, they receive a dress out of uniform day (a big deal when you wear uniforms). If you are interested in contributing to the Fun Run, you can also click the link below.
