Dear Saint Paul School Community & Friends,
Yesterday, Governor Baker extended the non-essential business closure and stay-at-home advisory to May 18. While disappointed, I was not surprised and look forward to his guidance on workplace safety and guidelines. THANK YOU…
Last Friday, the teachers and I had a remote faculty meeting. Our topic was “Students will have been out of school for almost 6 months when we return in the fall. How do you want students to feel when they walk through the doors of SPS when we return?”
We all shared the same sentiments and want them to feel like they are returning home, to feel safe, loved, enthusiastic, excited, secure, and reunited. In the coming weeks we will offer community builders and more activities to maintain the social emotional connection to Saint Paul School.
Please mark your calendars for the upcoming weekly school liturgies with Fr. Nestor. While not mandatory, we would like to see 100% student participation. We would love to have parents join in as well. Attending liturgy is very important to our school community and brings us closer to God. Details are below.
All Saint Paul School students and parents are invited to participate in the Rosary Club.
The Saint Paul School Rosary Club meets Monday at 9:00 am. Rosary Club schedule and log-in information can be found in today's morning message. Students learn about not only the Holy Rosary and the prayers, but also the meaning of a heavenly mother and an advocate. Each week the club begins with a new mystery.
During the month of May, we suggest the children do something special in honor of Mary. An outside chalk rosary is an easy activity. Students could also make rosaries for many groups and individuals.
Below are some child-friendly resources to get you started:
Video: Why do you pray the rosary?
Website: How to Pray the Rosary
How to Make a Rosary with String and Beads
Thank you for your continued patience and flexibility. Please reach out with questions and comments and I will respond either via email, videoconference or phone.
Sincerely,
Principal

PROJECT GRATITUDE:
SUPPORTING OUR FIRST RESPONDERS
& HEALTH CARE HEROES
|
|
This has been such a fun week of witnessing the care from our SPS community shared with first responders and health care staff.
|
|
|
SUPPORTING FIRST RESPONDERS
Vidhi Patel (Grade 8) shared: “My parents were kind enough to donate masks, toilet paper, paper towels, and hand sanitizer to first responders (in Hull). I wrote 50 cards, thanking them for putting their lives at risk to help others. We are so grateful for this opportunity to help them."
The care and support shared by Vidhi, the Patel family and their business, Quick Pick Convenience Store (Hull, MA) is an inspiration to our school community.
