Dear Saint Paul School Community & Friends,
For families with young children at home for the foreseeable future: God, help mothers and fathers to partner together creatively for the care and flourishing of their children.
This morning's email was dedicated to all of the Saint Paul School Parents!
Overnight you went from getting your students out the door in the morning in uniform with backpack and lunch to keeping them home for seven weeks. You are all to be applauded for now having to organize their day of studies, getting them signed in to videoconferences, learning our new LMS, providing snack and recess, participating in daily challenges from the Principal, art lessons and song, and we can’t forget daily prayer. And that is just for your students. While most of you are working remotely from home there are the extra messes around the house to clean-up, extra laundry (I bet we all appreciate uniforms), and 101 meals you are making. If you don’t already, now would be a good time to start those chores! If you have high school or college students home – maybe they could help your Saint Paul Student with navigating our new, but temporary norm, of distance learning … this too shall pass.
I ask that we all step back from technology, email, and schoolwork this weekend. I am going to try too! Enjoy the outdoors, work on a puzzle, play a board games, curl up with a book, or pray the Holy Rosary.
If your family is in need of ANYTHING please reach out to me and I will help find the resources. We are here to help support each other.
Sincerely,
Principal

COMMUNITY PRAYER
On
March 30 at 9:00 am
we invite the Saint Paul School Community to stop what they are doing to pray the Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be for
Fr. Nestor, School Board, Faculty, Staff, Parents and Students.
In the name of the father, son and Holy Spirit.
Our Father
, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done,
on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary
full of Grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed are thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death
Glory be
to the Father, and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen
.
In the name of the father, son and Holy Spirit.

IMPRESSIVE SCHOOLWORK & CHALLENGES
|
|
Mrs. Woodgate's Preposition Challenge
As we know, a preposition is a word that connects a noun or a pronoun to a verb or adjective in a sentence. Prepositions can be tricky. But, memorizing common prepositions can help us to easily identify them in writing. Grade five has been challenged to memorize the attached list of 49 common prepositions before May 4th. Studies have shown that memorization improves neural plasticity, which helps maintain cognitive functioning (your brain is a muscle - it needs exercise).
Any student
who achieves this memorization goal may choose a prize from Mrs. Woodgate's prize box, and will get his or her name added to the running list. Email a video submission to Mrs. Woodgate's SPS email (
[email protected]
) to win.
