May 22, 2020
Dear Saint Paul School Community & Friends,

On Monday we observe Memorial Day – the day we honor all men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. The below resource offers some ways to introduce and reinforce its meaning to our students:  https://www.educationworld.com/a_lesson/lesson119.shtml

Next week teachers will be holding ZOOM Sessions with current grade level parents. Homeroom teachers emailed you the link and if not received please reach out to her ASAP. This will be an opportunity hear about:

·Curriculum since Progress Report
·ZOOM Classes and/ or 1:1 Sessions
·Last week of school activities and events
·Summer Math and Reading Requirements
·Time for parents to ask questions

The best way for our students to learn is to be back in the classroom with their teachers and that is what we will strive for. Saint Paul School prides itself on the personal interpersonal relationship that our teachers create with their students.

At this time I am working on formulating multiple plans, each which will provide safe reentry to our school. That being said, I am required to follow directives and guidance from Governor Baker and the Diocese of Boston. Ideally, I would like to be able to release a communication regarding September before we leave for summer break on June 12 but this may or may not be possible.

Upcoming Dates:

Monday, May 25 Memorial Day – NO SCHOOL / Remote Classes
Friday, May 29 May Procession – Liturgy at 10:00 am
Friday, May 29 Field Day at 12:00 pm
Monday, June 1 – Rosary Club at 9:00 am
Wednesday, June 3 – Move-Up Day at 10:00 am (ZOOM links to follow)
Monday, June 8 – Rosary Club at 9:00 am
Friday, June 12 – Closing Liturgy at 10:00 am

Save the Date/Time for Drop-off and Pick-up of Materials!  Monday, June 15 AND Tuesday, June 16
We will be offering these two dates and in the coming days provide more specific instructions regarding entrance/exit of school, number of adults in school at a given time, mask requirement, etc.

Save time and start gathering now ... The following items will be returned to school:
·Basketball uniform
·Wizard of Oz scripts
·Textbooks
·Loaner devices (Chromebook, iPad)

Thank you for your continued patience and flexibility. Please reach out with questions and comments and I will respond either via email, videoconference or phone.
Sincerely,
Principal
